Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility
As a supplier to many leading hotel brands throughout Australia, we believe that a strong partnership is comprised of more than just supplying print. We recognise that our social, economic and environmental responsibilities to our stakeholders are integral to our business. We aim to demonstrate these responsibilities through our actions and within our corporate policies.
Environmental consideration is at the forefront of our production expansion and system improvement, and we are committed to reducing our environmental footprint across each production process. We also ensure our trade suppliers are equally committed to reducing our overall environmental impact.

Materials from sustainable sources
The stringent Australian legislative requirements around the manufacturing of raw materials means that materials manufactured in Australia generally have sound environmental credentials. 96% of all the stock we supply are environmentally accredited, and as far as possible we recommend Australian-made environmentally certified and sustainable paper stocks.
NCP is a member of the Sustainable Green Print (SGP) programme and accredited to SGP standards. This programme is a pathway to the ISO1440 certification.
Environmental Management System
Our active environmental committee utilises a comprehensive Environmental Management System focused on enhancing the overall environmental performance of the business.
Chemical-free upgrade works
Our pre-press facility involves plate-making processes, which we are currently upgrading to be completely chemical-free. This cutting edge technology will significantly improve our overall operations and greatly reduce the environmental impact of our processes.
Energy & water reduction
The energy reduction programme at NCP is designed to reduce our energy consumption by 20% over the next 3 years. Some of the steps we are implementing as part of this programme include:
- Lighting/air-conditioning efficiency?
- Energy-efficient press?
Our efforts to reduce water consumption over the next 12 months include:
- Installing a new chemical-free CTP system expected to save 8,550 litres of water per annum
- Replacing all toilet cisterns with new low water consumption varieties
- Maintaining mulch levels on our gardens to reduce the need to water
We take seriously all feedback that we receive from our stakeholders and, where possible, maintain open dialogue to ensure that we fulfil the requirements outlined within our CSR policy. Our continual commitment to sustainable development is shown by our open and honest communication of strategies, targets, performance and governance to our stakeholders.
